Chery Stockman PHEV Ute Specs Revealed: 350kW, 3500kg Towing, over 80km of Electric Range

Diesel Super Hybrid Powertrain
The Stockman uses a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel engine in a plug-in hybrid setup Chery calls Super Hybrid. Combined outputs are 350kW and 800Nm, sent to all four wheels.
Chery says the powertrain is designed to combine the long-distance capability of a diesel engine with the efficiency and refinement of electrification. It describes the Stockman as one of the most powerful electrified utes in its segment.
On paper, the Stockman matches the BYD Shark 6 Performance's 350kW and has 100Nm more torque. The JAC Hunter PHEV claims higher outputs of 360kW and 1,010Nm.
Battery and Electric Range
The Stockman has a 34kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Chery quotes up to 96km of electric-only driving on the WLTP test cycle. The fuel tank holds 80 litres.
Chery has not yet confirmed charging speeds, whether DC fast charging is supported, or whether vehicle-to-load (V2L) will be offered, although both are likely given competitor offerings.

Competitor prices and specifications are correct at the time of writing and may change. GWM quotes the Cannon Hi4-T's electric range on the NEDC cycle, which typically returns higher figures than WLTP. The Cannon Hi4-T is also offered to ABN holders from $49,990 drive-away, with a $2,000 launch bonus available until 31 October 2026.
On paper, the Stockman has the most torque, the largest battery, the biggest fuel tank and the highest ground clearance of the three. It is the only one of the three with three locking differentials. The Shark 6 Performance is the only one with independent rear suspension. The Cannon Hi4-T has the fastest DC charging and the lowest price.
