Record Sales Drive Market Growth

In September 2025, a total of 12,076 EVs were sold, marking the highest monthly tally to date. Tesla and BYD were the clear leaders, accounting for nearly two-thirds of sales with over 7,800 combined deliveries.

Industry reports came from two main sources:

  • FCAI vFacts recorded 7,177 EV sales.
  • EVC reported an additional 4,899 units from Tesla and Polestar.

This combined total of 12,076 represents 11.3% of the 106,891 new cars sold nationwide in September.
