BYD’s premium sub-brand Denza, co-developed with Mercedes-Benz, is officially preparing to enter the Australian market with two plug-in hybrid SUVs: the Denza B5 and Denza B8.

Both models are expected to arrive in late 2025, marking a new chapter for BYD’s global expansion and offering Australian drivers a blend of luxury, performance, and electrified adventure.

Built on BYD’s advanced DM-O (Dual Mode Offroad) platform, both the Denza B5 and B8 combine dual-motor all-wheel drive with BYD’s renowned Blade Battery and a smart drivetrain tuned for both city and rugged terrain.

The flagship Denza B8 elevates this formula further, offering six-seat (6S) and seven-seat (7S) configurations, each powered by a 450 kW, 760 Nm hybrid system.

120 kW DC fast charging and a 91-litre fuel tank for long-range touring
DiSus-P hydraulic suspension standard across all models
Front and rear diff locks (6S variant) for off-road performance
3,500 kg towing capacity
