BYD is preparing to expand its global EV lineup with a new flagship model the BYD Atto 8, a rebadged version of the Chinese-market BYD Tang L. The model made its international debut at the 2025 Tashkent International Auto Show in Uzbekistan, alongside the BYD M9 and BYD Seal 6.

The move signals BYD’s continued global push as it positions the Atto 8 to sit above the popular Atto 3 and upcoming Atto 2 in its international range.
