The 2024 BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition has been unveiled in China with a price of up to 16,000 yuan (A$3,400) lower than before. Known as the Atto 3 in Australia and global markets, it is BYD's best selling model globally, offering a compelling package of style, practicality and value.

As previously unveiled at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show, the 2024 BYD Yuan Plus (Atto 3) has received a number of upgrades as outlined below.

Exterior enhancements

The 2024 BYD Yuan Plus (Atto 3) has received several exterior upgrades:

• The introduction of a new "Black Knight" colour.
• The chrome-plated trim has received a sleek, blackened finish.

The most divisive aspect of the Yuan Plus (Atto 3) is the interior. BYD has listened to its customers and made some changes which will surely appease more potential customers. Of particular note is the introduction of an additional interior colour combination which provides a more muted aesthetic which should appeal to a wider audience compared to the brighter blue-cream colour scheme.

The 2024 BYD Yuan Plus (Atto 3) retains the same dimensions, drivetrain and battery pack. It remains a front-wheel-drive EV powered by a robust electric motor capable of producing 150 kW and 310 Nm, ensuring a spirited driving experience. The vehicle's efficiency and range are augmented by the choice of two LFP batteries: a 49.92kWh battery achieving up to 430 km CLTC, and a larger 60.48kWh variant for up to 510 km CLTC (420km WLTP) range.
