Zeekr will launch the all-electric 7GT in Australia in the fourth quarter of 2026. Expressions of interest are open now, with first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The 7GT is the fourth model in Zeekr's Australian range, joining the X, 7X and 009. It brings the brand's European grand tourer body style to Australia for the first time, pairing a sporting shooting brake shape with the practicality of a five-door wagon.
Designed and engineered at Zeekr's global design centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, the 7GT is built on the brand's 800V Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).
Frank Li, Managing Director of Zeekr Australia, said the response to the 7GT overseas had been strong. "Consumers are increasingly looking beyond the traditional premium SUV. They want vehicles that combine standout design, engaging performance and genuine emotional appeal," he said.
"The 7GT offers a compelling alternative. It brings together the elegance and driving character of a grand tourer with the practicality and versatility everyday life demands, alongside the advanced technology and innovation Zeekr is known for," Li said.
Three variants: RWD, Long Range RWD and Performance AWD
The Zeekr 7GT will be sold in Australia in three variants: RWD, Long Range RWD and Performance AWD. The line-up gives buyers a choice between a responsive rear-wheel-drive base model, an extended-range touring variant and a dual-motor performance flagship.

The Performance AWD sits at the top of the range, combining dual-motor power with 790Nm of torque for a 0-100km/h time of 3.1 seconds. It is distinguished by 20-inch forged wheels and orange brake callipers. The Long Range RWD is the touring specialist, with up to 670km of WLTP range. RWD and Long Range RWD variants use 19-inch multi-spoke wheels.
DC fast charging speeds reach up to 420kW in the Performance AWD. The RWD variant uses Zeekr's in-house Golden Brick Battery, an 800V lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack designed for ultra-fast charging, while the Long Range RWD and Performance AWD use larger 100kWh NCM batteries. Zeekr says the battery has been tested in extreme cold, fire and water immersion trials beyond standard benchmarks.
Pricing not yet confirmed
Zeekr has not confirmed Australian pricing or a full specification breakdown for the 7GT. At Everything Electric Sydney 2026, running this week at Sydney Showground, Zeekr told Zecar the 7GT is expected to be priced between the Zeekr X and Zeekr 7X.
Zeekr says full pricing and availability details will follow, with expressions of interest open now and first customer orders to open in late 2026.
Design: Zeekr's first Australian GT
The 7GT takes the traditional grand tourer silhouette and reinterprets it for the electric era. A low stance, short front overhang, long bonnet and rearward cabin create a purposeful profile, with the roofline flowing continuously from the A-pillar to the rear spoiler.
Zeekr calls the roofline's slope a 21-degree "GT angle," inspired by wing-like forms in nature and aviation. It contributes to a drag coefficient of 0.25. At the front, a low clamshell hood and ultra-slim matrix LED headlamps are paired with a centrally positioned active air intake that opens only when needed. Frameless doors and hidden finishers streamline the profile, while the rear features a ducktail spoiler, integrated diffuser and full-width LED light bar.

Gustaf Gunér, Head of Brand Design at Zeekr Design, said the 7GT was "a study in balance". "From its low, purposeful stance and flowing roofline to the details that shape the driver's environment, every element has been designed to create a strong sense of movement and connection," he said. "We wanted the 7GT to feel distinctive at first glance, but also rewarding the longer you spend with it."
Interior built around the driver
Inside, the 7GT's cockpit is built around the driver, who sits low behind a racing-inspired three-spoke steering wheel with customisable physical buttons. Further physical controls on the centre console are inspired by piano keys and finished in machined metal.
Front seats are 14-way powered, with pressure-absorbing bolstering, a seat cushion extension, and massage, heating and ventilation as standard. A pair of 50W wireless phone chargers sit below a 15.4-inch 2.5K mini-LED central touchscreen. In the rear, seats are heated and power-adjustable, with a central armrest and generous legroom. Double-pane acoustic glass throughout the cabin is designed to cut road and wind noise, and a panoramic glass roof lets in natural light. An in-house Zeekr Sound audio system rounds out the cabin, with different configurations available depending on variant.

Boot space and storage
A powered tailgate opens to a cargo area with up to 456 litres of boot space, expanding to 1,390 litres with the rear seats folded. A hidden compartment beneath the flat load floor adds concealed storage, and an integrated ski hatch allows longer items such as skis or camping gear to be carried without folding the rear seats.

Intelligent GT cockpit and driver assistance
The 7GT runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The driver's view is centred on a 35.5-inch augmented reality head-up display showing speed, driver assistance alerts and navigation guidance, alongside a 13-inch digital instrument display and the 15.4-inch central touchscreen.
Zeekr Assisted Drive brings a Level 2 driver assistance suite using cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors, including intelligent adaptive cruise control, emergency lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot detection and traffic sign information. Zeekr Surround Reality View highlights nearby vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and road markings across the head-up display and central screen. Automatic Park Assist can identify and manage entry into diagonal, perpendicular and parallel spaces, with Remote Smart Parking Assist and Automatic Valet Parking extending the car's automated parking functions.
As a software-defined vehicle, the 7GT is designed to receive over-the-air updates throughout ownership. Zeekr Connected Standard connectivity is included from first activation, with access to the Zeekr App, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and online satellite navigation.
Driving dynamics
The Performance AWD variant gets Active Air Suspension with Continuous Damping Control, which continuously adjusts ride height and damping to speed, road conditions and drive mode. Four drive modes, Comfort, Sport, Eco and Snow, are joined by an exclusive Sport+ mode on AWD models, plus an Individual mode that lets drivers save their preferred settings.

Five-star Euro NCAP safety rating
The Zeekr 7GT has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating under the organisation's latest, more stringent testing protocols. It scored 93 per cent for crash protection, 95 per cent for post-crash safety, 89 per cent for crash avoidance and 79 per cent for safe driving.
Warranty and ownership
The 7GT is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty, subject to servicing under Zeekr's approved maintenance schedule. The high-voltage battery is covered for eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first. Owners also get five years of roadside assistance. Zeekr's Australian dealer network is set to grow to more than 25 locations by the end of 2026.
