Leapmotor Australia has announced an update to the C10 Design Long Range Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for MY26. The mid-size electric SUV gets a larger battery, more power and faster charging, while staying at the same $49,888 MSRP as the outgoing MY25 model.
The update brings the entry-level C10 closer in line with the more powerful AWD Sports+ Special Edition that Leapmotor launched earlier in 2026, while keeping the price unchanged. It is available now.
What's Changed for MY26
The headline change is the battery. The MY26 C10 Design LR BEV moves to an 81.9kWh battery, up from the 69.9kWh pack in the outgoing MY25 model. Combined with a new 800V high-voltage architecture, this lifts WLTP range from 420km to 510km, and NEDC range to 605km.
Power increases too. The MY26 update raises output to 220kW and 360Nm, up from 160kW and 320Nm in the MY25 C10. Leapmotor quotes a 0-100km/h time of 6.2 seconds, down from 7.8 seconds in the outgoing model.
DC fast charging speed also improves, rising from 80kW to 180kW. Leapmotor says this gets the bigger battery from 30 percent to 80 percent in around 22 minutes.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
As previously confirmed by Leapmotor, the current generation C10 model will not get native Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The C10 however is capable of Android screen mirroring via the QDLink app, which enables projection of apps like Waze and Google Maps via either the USB-A port or Wi-Fi.
How It Compares
The C10 Design LR BEV competes in a crowded part of the market. Here is how its MY26 specs stack up against three key mid-size electric SUV rivals.

Price (MSRP) | From $49,888 | From $54,990 | From $41,990 | From $49,990 |

On paper, the C10 Design LR BEV leads this group on range, power and DC charging speed, while undercutting the BYD Sealion 7 and matching the Deepal S07 on price. The Geely EX5 Extended Range remains the cheapest of the four, though with less power and a smaller battery.
Leapmotor has not detailed any other changes for MY26. Zecar will update this article with images of the new colours and interior trims as they become available.
