- A sedan and SUV model are being considered for the Australian market, with Geely gathering real customer feedback at the show.
- Over 6,600 Geely vehicles have been delivered in Australia since March 2025, with the EX5 and Starray EM-i both ranking in the top 5 of their segments.
Geely Auto Australia has confirmed a five-vehicle lineup for the 2026 Melbourne Motor Show, running from Friday 10 April to Sunday 12 April at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
It will be the first time the Geely EX2 has been shown publicly in Australia. The example on display will be an overseas model, ahead of local sales starting in the third quarter of 2026.

China's Best-Selling Car in 2025
The EX2 was the best-selling vehicle in China in 2025. It sold over 460,000 units for the year and held the top sales position for seven consecutive months. That is a strong track record for a car heading to Australia.
How It Compares to the Competition
The EX2 will enter a growing segment of affordable electric hatchbacks in Australia. Here is how its key specs compare to the Aion UT and BYD Atto 3.
Geely EX2 vs Aion UT vs BYD Atto 3

The EX2 is smaller and more affordable than both rivals. Its range and charging speed are lower, but it is aimed at city drivers who want a compact, low-cost EV.
What Else Is on the Stand
Joining the EX2 will be a sedan and an SUV, both currently being considered for the Australian market. Geely will use the show to gather feedback from real customers to help shape its future product plans.
Based on Geely's current global lineup, the two models are likely the Geely Galaxy Cruiser SUV and the Geely Starshine 8 sedan. Neither has been confirmed for Australia yet.

The display will also include the updated Geely EX5 all-electric SUV and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV. Both are already on sale in Australia.
Strong Sales Since Launch
In the 12 months since Geely launched in Australia in March 2025, the brand has delivered over 6,600 vehicles across the EX5 and Starray EM-i. The EX5 ranks in the top 3 best-selling EVs in 2026 year-to-date, while the Starray EM-i sits in the top 5 PHEVs.
