BYD has launched another new model in China, the Sea Lion 07, a midsize SUV. Based on the new e-platform 3.0 Evo, it's the latest addition to their Ocean series. Prices start at 189,800 yuan (US$26,250) for four variants.

Drawing inspiration from the Ocean-X concept car, the Sea Lion 07 boasts a smooth, stylish exterior with headlights resembling the BYD Seal. It also features retractable door handles and a rear design with a continuous taillight, ducktail spoiler, and roof spoiler. Unlike the BYD Seal, the rear displays a BYD logo instead of "Build Your Dreams".
e-Platform 3.0 Evo
The car boasts several innovations. The e-Platform 3.0 Evo improves powertrain and charging capabilities. The enhanced CTB technology improves safety by strengthening the body and reducing passenger cabin intrusion during collisions. The 12-in-1 smart e-drive system features the world's fastest production motor (23,000 rpm) for a top speed of 225 km/h.

Sea Lion 07 Key Specifications
Three powertrains are available. Two-wheel drive models come with electric motors of 230 kW and 170 kW, while the four-wheel drive model has two motors with 160 kW and 230 kW outputs.

The single-motor model offers two range options (550 km and 610 km), while the dual-motor model has a 550 km range. It can charge 10 – 80% in 25 minutes and fully utilizes the maximum capacity of China's DC fast charging standard.
The Sea Lion 07 is the first BYD vehicle with the DiPilot 100 ADAS system featuring advanced L2 driver assistance functions. It measures 4830/1925/1620 mm with a 2930 mm wheelbase. It offers a 58-liter frunk and a 500-liter boot.

Sea Lion 07 Key Features
The interior features a flat-bottomed steering wheel, crystal gear selector, physical buttons for essential controls, and a 50-inch AR-HUD. The 15.6-inch central screen runs on the DiLink 100 system with voice control. The cabin has ambient lighting with 128 colors and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system. Other features include a 220V power supply, karaoke system, NFC keyless entry, 11 safety airbags, tire pressure monitoring, and driver monitoring assistance.
