Key Points
- The Standard range Single motor has been removed from the Australian lineup.
- Prices for the three remaining variants are unchanged from MY26.
- The flagship Dual motor with Performance pack gains Pixel LED headlights and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system as standard, adding $5100 in value at no extra cost.
Polestar has confirmed pricing and specifications for the Polestar 2 model year 2027 (MY27), ahead of its arrival in Australia in mid-2026. The lineup has shrunk by one, with the entry-level Standard range Single motor discontinued. Polestar says the decision was made “in line with customer preferences for vehicles with a longer driving range”.
The three remaining variants carry over with no price changes. The range now opens at $66,400 before on-road costs, which is $4000 more than the now-discontinued Standard range grade.

What Changed for MY27
The biggest change for MY27 is the removal of the Standard range Single motor. That variant used a 70kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery with 554km of WLTP range and a 180kW maximum DC charge rate.
All MY27 variants now use the 82kWh battery pack. The Long range Single motor is rated at 659km of WLTP range. Dual motor variants offer 568km to 596km. The maximum DC fast-charge rate across the range is 205kW.
The flagship Long range Dual motor with Performance pack gains two items as standard equipment for MY27: Pixel LED adaptive headlights and a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system. Polestar says this adds $5100 of value at no extra cost.
