The updated 2026 Zeekr X has officially locked in its Australian pricing – and it’s sharper than expected. The small electric SUV now undercuts key rivals while delivering meaningful upgrades in performance, charging and standard equipment.
Final figures confirmed at the Melbourne Motor Show put the rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant at $48,900 drive-away nationwide, while the all-wheel drive (AWD) version starts from $57,900 drive-away. That represents a substantial price drop compared to the outgoing model, despite notable upgrades across the board.
Zeekr’s repositioning means its entry model now sits below competitors like the Kia EV3 Air and BYD Atto 3 Premium on drive-away pricing – a significant shift in the increasingly crowded small EV SUV segment.

To sweeten the deal, early buyers who pre-order before 31 May 2026 will receive:
- Any exterior and interior colour combination at no extra cost
- A 7kW home charger
- Two additional years of warranty and roadside assistance (seven years total)
AWD buyers also score power-operated front doors at no extra cost, while existing Zeekr X owners are being offered a $3000 loyalty incentive to upgrade.
More power, faster charging and stronger value proposition
Beyond pricing, the 2026 update brings a clear step forward in performance and usability.
The RWD variant now produces 250kW – up 50kW – paired with a new 61kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery delivering a claimed 405km WLTP range. It can sprint from 0–100km/h in 5.6 seconds.
The AWD model combines a 115kW front motor with the upgraded 250kW rear unit, delivering a hefty 365kW total output. That translates to a 0–100km/h time of just 3.7 seconds, placing it firmly in performance EV territory.
Charging has also improved:
- RWD: up to 230kW DC, 10–80% in around 18 minutes
- AWD: up to 150kW DC, 10–80% in around 30 minutes
Inside, the Zeekr X continues to lean heavily into premium features, with:
- 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen
- 13-speaker Yamaha audio system
- Heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats
- 360-degree camera and automated parking
Safety remains comprehensive, with seven airbags and a full suite of driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, lane centring and blind-spot monitoring.

What this means for Australia
The aggressive pricing and feature upgrades signal a broader shift in Australia’s EV market – one where Chinese brands are rapidly redefining value expectations.
By delivering more power, faster charging and premium features at a lower price point, Zeekr is putting pressure on established players to respond. For buyers, this means better-equipped EVs at more accessible price levels.
More importantly, it highlights how quickly the market is evolving. Vehicles that once sat at the premium end are now moving into mainstream pricing territory, accelerating competition and likely pushing adoption higher in the coming years.
