The 2026 Zeekr X is heading to Australia with a significant power upgrade. The small electric luxury SUV now offers more performance across both its rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants.

Australian Government certification documents confirm the updated model features a 250kW single-motor rear-wheel drive option and a 365kW dual-motor all-wheel drive variant. Both powertrains receive a 50kW boost thanks to a more powerful electric motor.

Torque figures also increase by 30Nm. The rear-drive variant now produces 373Nm, while the all-wheel drive model delivers 573Nm.

The extra power helps the AWD model sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.69 seconds, down from 3.8 seconds. The RWD variant maintains its 5.6-second time.

What Else Is New

The updated X was revealed in China in November 2025. It brings a new Seattle Green exterior color option and fresh interior choices including black, black and white, and black and orange combinations.

The 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system now runs Zeekr's latest 5.5 operating system, bringing improved functionality and user experience.

Sales Performance

Despite launching late in 2025, the larger 7X outsold the X by almost two to one last year. The 7X recorded 1,206 sales compared to the X's 665 units.

The Volvo EX30, which shares its platform with the Zeekr X, also performed better with 1,281 sales. Both vehicles fall under the Geely umbrella, which includes brands like Volvo, Polestar, and Smart.

When Will It Arrive

Zeekr Australia has not yet confirmed when the updated X will reach local showrooms. The certification documents suggest an arrival is imminent.

The X and the 009 electric people mover were Zeekr's first models in Australia. The brand continues to expand its local lineup as it builds its presence in the Australian market.
