Subaru has confirmed the Uncharted for Australia. The compact electric SUV will arrive mid-2026 with 252kW of power, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a 74.7kWh battery. Subaru has opened expressions of interest and calls it a Sport Electric Vehicle, or SEV.
The Uncharted is Subaru's third electric vehicle globally and the second to arrive in Australia, joining the Solterra.

Performance and Powertrain
Two electric motors produce 252kW of combined power. The Uncharted hits 100km/h from rest in an estimated 5.0 seconds. Power goes to all four wheels through Subaru's Symmetrical AWD system.
Subaru has long been known for its AWD systems and off-road capability. The Uncharted could be one of the more capable off-road electric SUVs on the market, backed by X-Mode and hill descent control.
Battery, Range and Charging
The 74.7kWh CATL battery provides up to 522km of range. DC fast charging tops out at 150kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes. AC charging goes up to 22kW on three-phase power. The Uncharted also supports 1500W vehicle-to-load (V2L), so you can power devices directly from the car.

Pricing and Availability
Subaru Australia has confirmed a mid-2026 arrival. Pricing will be announced closer to launch. Based on the Solterra starting from $63,990 plus on-road costs, the Uncharted is likely to come in below that given its smaller size. Two trim levels are expected, similar to the Solterra's Uncharted AWD and Touring AWD variants.
