The XPENG G6 is a medium SUV which measures 4,753mm in length, 1,650mm in height, and a 2,890mm wheelbase. This makes it similar in size to the best selling Tesla Model Y

It is built on XPENG's dedicated EV Platform and will be initially offering in two drivetrain options and two battery sizes. (V2L) will be standard on all variants.

Standard Range

• The Standard Range model will feature a 190kW/440Nm rear motor, accelerating from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds
• Battery comprises a 66kWh LFP pack with WLTP range is 435km
• Maximum DC charging is 215kW DC (10 - 80% in 20 min)

Long Range

• The Long Range model features a more powerful 210kW/440Nm rear motor, accelerating from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds
• A larger 87.5kWh NMC battery pack provides WLTP range of 570km
• Maximum DC charging is 280kW DC (10 - 80% in 20 min)

The XPENG G6 Australian line-up is separated by two model grades – Standard Range and Long Range. They share the same equipment list and are differentiated by the slightly more powerful motor and larger battery pack.

Both models are well-equipped with features such as adaptive LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, a 15-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch instrument display. Standard across the range are heated and ventilated front seats, synthetic leather-look seat trim, a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, an 18-speaker sound system, and a comprehensive list of advanced safety technology.

Stepping up to the Long Range costs $5000 more and provides more power in the rear motor and a larger NMC battery.

XPENG confirmed the G6 will have a 5 year / 120,000 kilometer car warranty and 8 year / 160,000 kilometer battery warranty.

Ultra Tune has been signed up as the servicing partner to maintain XPeng vehicles across its 275 locations nationwide.

The XPeng G6 is similar in size to the Tesla Model Y, being 3mm longer overall, 1mm wider (without mirrors), 26mm taller, and identical in wheelbase, with a 571-litre boot capacity. It is also larger than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

Comparing the G6 Standard Range to the Tesla Model Y RWD, it offers slightly less range, despite having a larger battery, however offers faster acceleration and faster charging speeds.
