Cupra, part of the Volkswagen Group, has confirmed the Cupra Born VZ, a performance variant of the Cupra Born will arrive in Australia in early 2025. Pricing has yet to be confirmed.

This new version of the all-electric hatchback boasts 240kW of power and 545Nm of torque. Furthermore its gets a slight bump in range to 570km. These figures represent a substantial increase from the 'standard' model and surpass the performance metrics of petrol equivalents like the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R, positioning the Born VZ as a formidable contender in the performance EV segment.
