Nissan’s long-awaited Ariya electric SUV has officially arrived in Australia, and the brand is marking the milestone with a limited-time bonus. The first 400 customers will receive a complimentary 22 kW on-board AC charger.
This incentive comes as Nissan begins local deliveries of its newest EV, signalling the company’s strongest push yet into the Australian electric SUV segment.

Early buyers get premium charging tech
The 22 kW AC unit allows a full recharge of lower-spec Ariya models in around three hours, that is up to three time faster than a standard 7.4 kW system. In order to take advantage of the full output, you must have access to three-phase power. Many public AC chargers are capable of up to 22kW charging, allowing a a full re-charge within 3 to 4 hours, depending on the model. Most residential dwellings in Australia are single-phase, meaining, the charging input will be limited to 7.4 kW.
Ordinarily, this charging hardware is standard only on the Evolve e-4orce variant, which sits at the top of the lineup. For other versions, it’s either unavailable (Engage and Advance) or sold as a $3,000 upgrade (Advance+).
Nissan says the free charger will be available to the first 400 orders placed before the end of September, or until the allocation runs out. After that, the lower trims will revert to their standard charging setup.

Longer warranty than rivals
One standout for Australian buyers is Nissan’s warranty. The Ariya is backed by a 10-year / 300,000 km coverage if serviced within the Nissan dealer network. That’s well beyond the typical 5–7 years most carmakers offer for the vehicle, and longer than the standard 8-year battery warranty in the industry.
This extended support may prove a key selling point for families and long-distance drivers who value peace of mind.
