MSI has launched its Eco Series AC charger for the Australian home market, priced at $999 for the entry Eco Life model and $1,199 for Eco Premium. Eco Life is available now, while Eco Premium is set to land in stores from mid-October 2026. The charger is sold and supported locally through MSI Computer Australia Pty Ltd, based in Auburn, NSW.
The Eco Series Home line comes in two models, Eco Life Home and Eco Premium Home. Both deliver up to 22 kW on a three-phase connection, or 7 kW on single-phase power, at up to 32 A. Both use a 7.5 m tethered Type 2 (IEC 62196) cable. The two models are functionally similar, with one main difference: Eco Life shows charging status through an LED circle light, while Eco Premium adds a 5-inch LCD display on the unit.

Build and design
The charger is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, IK08 for impact protection, and IP67 on the charging cable itself. MSI rates the operating range from -30°C to 55°C, with natural cooling and no fan. The unit measures 20.4 x 35.1 x 11.3 cm and weighs 3.5 kg without the charging gun. It's available in Matte White or Titan Gray, and can be wall-mounted or fitted to an optional stand. The enclosure accepts power input from three sides, which lets installers route cable entry from the wall, floor or side of the unit depending on the site, rather than planning the job around a single fixed entry point.
Certification and safety protections
Certification includes RCM, IEC 61851-1, IEC 61851-21-2, ETSI EN 301 489-1 and ETSI EN 301 489-17, plus Energy Star. Built-in protections cover surge, ground fault, under and over voltage, over current, control pilot faults, over temperature and relay welding detection. The charger also has cold-load pickup, which adds a randomised delay before resuming charging after a power outage. MSI backs the range with up to USD 5 million in product liability insurance.
App and control
Control runs through the MSI aConnect app over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or LAN. The app handles auto-charge, RFID access, multi-user pairing and charging cost tracking. The charger also features MSI AutoCharge, which recognises a registered vehicle as soon as it's plugged in and starts charging automatically, without needing to tap an RFID card or open the app.

MSI's second dedicated EV charger in Australia
The Eco Series is MSI's second dedicated EV charger to launch in Australia, replacing the first-generation EV Life charger. MSI also currently sells the EZgo smart portable charger in Australia.
MSI, formally Micro-Star International, is a Taiwanese company best known for its gaming laptops, motherboards and graphics cards, with almost 40 years of experience in the computing industry. EV charging hardware is a newer product line for the company, sitting alongside its long-running computing business.
