Kia Australia has confirmed the EV3 GT-Line AWD, a dual-motor flagship that completes the EV3 range. Priced from $66,490 plus on-road costs, it lands in dealerships from September 2026, just $2,500 more than the front-wheel-drive GT-Line Long Range.
The GT-Line AWD brings a significant jump in power and acceleration over the single-motor EV3, along with larger brakes and a suspension and steering tune developed specifically for Australian roads.
Pricing
The GT-Line AWD sits above the existing four-variant EV3 line-up as the new range-topper. All prices below are before on-road costs.
| Variant | Price (plus on-road costs) | Drive-away price |
| Air Standard Range | $47,600 | $46,990* |

Performance and Range
The GT-Line AWD's dual-motor system produces a combined 195kW and 385Nm, up from 150kW and 283Nm in the front-wheel-drive EV3. That cuts the 0-100km/h claim from 7.9 seconds to 6.6 seconds. WLTP range drops slightly, from 563km in the FWD GT-Line to 559km in the AWD version, due to the added weight of the second motor.

Does This Spell the End for the EV3 GT?
The EV3 GT performance flagship was revealed in January. It is posssible the GT-Line AWD's arrival could mean the EV3 GT will not be sold locally, given the two cars would offer only a modest difference in power and performance.
The EV3 GT uses a more powerful 145kW front motor for 215kW of total system power and a 5.7-second 0-100km/h time. It also adds GT-specific features including virtual gearshifts, electronically controlled suspension, performance tyres and unique styling. Whether it eventually reaches Australia has not been confirmed either way by Kia.
Sales and Market Position
The EV3 GT-Line AWD arrives on the back of the model's strongest sales month yet. Kia sold 821 EV3s in June 2026, and 2,658 units over the first half of the year, up 130.5 percent year-on-year. That places the EV3 second in the small SUV segment priced above $45,000, behind the BMW X1/iX1 range (2,669 units, down 0.8 percent) and just ahead of Kia's own larger EV5 (2,951 units, up 6.7 percent). Kia's release also references multiple awards won across Australian motoring media, though it does not name them individually.
How It Compares: Kia EV3 GT-Line AWD vs BYD Atto 3 EVO AWD

The closest AWD rival on the horizon is the BYD Atto 3 EVO AWD. It has not yet gone on sale in Australia, and BYD has not confirmed local pricing or an exact launch date, only that it is expected in the second half of 2026.
