By Danny Thai|May 16, 2026

Key Points

  • MG Motor is offering up to $3,000 off the IM5 and IM6 plus a $500 accessories bonus until 30 June 2026.
  • The IM6 has sold 182 units YTD in 2026, placing it near the bottom of the medium EV SUV segment.
  • The IM5 has sold 148 units YTD in 2026, behind the Tesla Model 3 (1,766) and BYD Seal (1,304).

MG Motor has cut prices on the IM5 and IM6 and added a $500 accessories bonus as part of its M-GENIUS EOFY campaign. The offer runs until 30 June 2026 and applies to new vehicles purchased and delivered through participating MG dealers.

The IM5 and IM6 launched in Australia in June 2025. Both are premium electric vehicles positioned above the MG4 and MGS5 EV in the local lineup. Since launch, sales have been modest in a highly competitive segment.

What is the deal?

Current driveaway prices are below the original launch prices for the Platinum and Performance variants. The Premium variant is unchanged from launch. On top of the price reduction, buyers receive a $500 accessories bonus that can be used towards eligible MG accessories or taken as a $500 reduction off the purchase price.
