PHEV Performance Without Compromise
CUPRA is making a clear statement with this release. Plug-in hybrid vehicles can deliver the same sporty character as traditional combustion engines.

The brand's PHEV technology focuses on both efficiency and driving engagement. CUPRA is actively growing its plug-in hybrid range in Australia. The Terramar and Leon Sportstourer are already available. The next-generation Formentor PHEV will be revealed soon.
CUPRA also hinted that a Leon Hatch PHEV may join the lineup, though no official announcement was made.
Australia's Most Affordable PHEV Wagon
The Leon VZe Sportstourer holds a unique position in the Australian market. At $69,990 before on-road costs, it's the most affordable plug-in hybrid wagon available.
With the Peugeot 508 and Volvo V60 no longer sold here, PHEV wagon options are limited. The Leon Sportstourer competes only with the recently introduced Audi A5 e-Hybrid and BMW M5 Touring.
Wagons themselves are becoming rare in Australia. Only a handful remain available. Chinese brands may offer more options soon, with BYD expected to bring its Seal 06 Touring and the premium Denza Z9 GT.
Customer Feedback Drives Decision
Customer input played a key role in bringing the Extreme Package to the Sportstourer.
Jerome Figuiere, Brand Director of CUPRA Australia, said the brand listens to its community. Customers and media asked for the most extreme version of the VZe Sportstourer. CUPRA delivered.
The package proves that PHEV models can be just as sporty and engaging as petrol-powered alternatives.

CUPRA continues to grow its PHEV model range. The Extreme Package for the Leon VZe Sportstourer gives customers more ways to express their style through design, technology, and electrified powertrains.
The Extreme Package is available now as a Build-to-Order option. Customers can check the updated model brochure at their nearest CUPRA Garage for full details.
