Global Success and Local Arrival
Known as the Seagull in China, the ATTO 1 has already been a massive hit globally, with over one million units sold since its debut in 2023. Designed for urban drivers, the model brings accessible EV ownership without compromising on build quality or safety, staying true to BYD’s growing reputation worldwide.
In Australia, the ATTO 1 will position itself as an entry-level option below the ATTO 2 and ATTO 3, targeting first-time EV buyers and city commuters looking for an affordable, efficient electric vehicle.

The ATTO 1 will be available in two variants, Essential and Premium, both powered by BYD’s Blade Battery technology and a front-wheel drive setup. The drivetrains for each trim will be differentiated by battery size and motor power.
Both variants support 11kW AC charging (Type 2), making them compatible with most home and public charging setups. The Premium trim adds Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.
