EV drivers who visit the two Melbourne BP service stations at Northpoint (Epping North) and Caroline Springs looking to recharge their cars will get a pleasant surprise as each location now has 4 bp pulse ultra fast chargers with 8 bays in total. Previously these locations had two 350kW Evie fast chargers each.

The Evie Networks/BP EV charging partnership ended amicably recently as detailed in my previous article.

At both locations Northpoint (Epping North) and Caroline Springs, bp pulse has replaced two aging 350kW Evie Tritium chargers with three new 150kW Tritium chargers and one 300kW Alpitronics Hypercharger.

Steve Amor from Alpitronic commented on Linkedin:

"Two bp pulse sites in the space of 7 days and both featuring Alpitronic HYC300 300kW dual operator chargers. Victorians are becoming spoilt for choice when it comes to quality charging sites"
"Congratulations to the team at bp and their partners on getting both the Epping and Caroline Springs sites commissioned and available for EV operators ahead of the end of year holiday period."
"It's not simply turning a switch when it comes to installing DC charging infrastructure. A massive amount of work behind the scenes goes into repurposing an existing charging site or engineering the electrical capability on a new site to ensure the chargers can work to their maximum capacity without adversely effecting other electrical operations within the site".
"A big shout out to the team at WSP Services who expertly engineered two big Alpitronic 300kW commissioning’s across two Victorian bp pulse sites within 7 days of each other . Bravo Ryan Hanley Mitchell Hook and team"
