Key Points
- Audi Australia has revealed enhanced Q4 e-tron models with more range, faster charging and a redesigned interior.

Audi Australia has revealed an updated Q4 e-tron range, bringing more range, faster charging and a reworked interior to the brand's entry point into its electric line-up. The changes apply across the Q4 e-tron SUV and Sportback, in both rear-wheel drive and quattro all-wheel drive.
Audi says the changes amount to up to $20,000 in enhanced value for customers, while pricing remains low enough for buyers to access current federal government EV incentives. The Q4 e-tron quattro is available to order now through the Audi dealer network. Audi Australia has not yet confirmed order details for the rear-wheel drive Q4 e-tron 150kW.
What's new
The update centres on a redesigned interior built around Audi's "digital stage" architecture, sharper exterior styling with new lighting, and a longer standard equipment list. For the first time in the segment, Audi is offering an optional 12-inch passenger-side screen on the Q4 e-tron quattro.
Audi Australia director Jeff Mannering said the range "punches well above its weight" in terms of technology and specification for a compact, premium electric car. "With greater efficiency and faster charging capabilities, along with a new interior design that features the digital stage and the availability of a passenger-side front screen for the first time in the segment, the Q4 e-tron range punches well above its weight in terms of its technological offering and high levels of appointment," Mannering said.

How the Q4 e-tron compares to rival premium EVs
In the premium mid-size electric SUV segment, the Q4 e-tron's closest rival is the BMW iX3, which relaunched in Australia in 2026 on a new platform. The Q4 e-tron also competes on price with mainstream premium EVs such as the Tesla Model Y Long Range and the Zeekr 7X Long Range, both of which undercut it substantially.
Q4 e-tron vs BMW iX3, Tesla Model Y Long Range and Zeekr 7X Long Range
Spec | Audi Q4 e-tron 150kW | Audi Q4 e-tron quattro | BMW iX3 50 xDrive | Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD | Zeekr 7X Long Range |
Price from (MLP/before on-roads) | $71,650 | $81,650 | $109,900 | $68,900 | $63,900 |
Power | 150kW | 250kW | 345kW | Dual motor AWD | 310kW |
0-100km/h | Not yet confirmed | 5.4 seconds | 4.9 seconds | 4.8 seconds | 6.0 seconds |
WLTP range | Not yet confirmed | Up to 509km | Up to 805km | 586km | 615km |
Battery | 63kWh (59kWh net) | 82kWh (77kWh net) | 108.7kWh (108kWh usable) | 78kWh (75kWh usable) | 100kWh |
Max DC charging | 160kW | 185kW | 400kW | 250kW | 420kW |
On paper, the BMW iX3 outpaces the Q4 e-tron on power, range and charging speed, but it costs considerably more. The Tesla Model Y Long Range and Zeekr 7X Long Range both undercut the Q4 e-tron quattro on price while matching or beating it on range, though neither offers the same badge or interior finish as the Audi.
Warranty and ownership
The new Q4 e-tron range comes with a five-year warranty, plus a 12-year warranty against body corrosion perforation on new vehicles. Owners also get complimentary membership to Audi Experience, the brand's loyalty program, for the duration of their warranty period. It gives access to national events, Audi Ambassador experiences and partner offers.
When it arrives
Both the Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron quattro are due to arrive in Australia in the first half of 2027. The Q4 e-tron quattro is available to order now through the Audi dealer network. Customers who order a quattro model in 2026 receive a bonus six-year, 90,000km service plan. Audi Australia says further information on the rear-wheel drive Q4 e-tron models, including local order timing, "will follow shortly," so that detail is not yet confirmed.
