2026 Skoda Enyaq RS priced

The performance-focused Skoda Enyaq RS is set to return to Australia with updated styling, more equipment and a lower starting price than before.

Skoda has confirmed the facelifted Enyaq RS will arrive locally in both SUV and coupe body styles, with pricing starting from $75,490 before on-road costs for the standard SUV version. The sleeker coupe variant commands a modest $1000 premium at $76,490.

The revised model adopts the brand’s latest design language, improves charging performance and adds new equipment, while maintaining the same powerful dual-motor drivetrain. It’s expected to land in Australian showrooms during the second quarter of 2026.

Lower pricing brings performance EV closer to mainstream buyers

The updated Enyaq RS enters the Australian market at a noticeably lower list price than the model it replaces.

The outgoing version previously carried a list price of $83,990 before on-road costs, although the final batch of vehicles was heavily discounted before the update arrived.

For the new model, pricing now begins at:

  • Enyaq RS SUV: $75,490 before on-road costs
  • Enyaq Coupe RS: $76,490 before on-road costs

Despite the lower starting price, the refreshed model brings additional equipment such as ventilated front seats and newly designed 21-inch alloy wheels.

This move suggests Skoda is aiming to make its flagship electric SUV more competitive in Australia’s growing EV market.

Performance and battery upgrades

Under the skin, the Enyaq RS retains the same dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain.

Outputs remain strong at 250kW and 545Nm, allowing the electric SUV to accelerate from 0–100km/h in around 5.4 seconds.

However, the updated model introduces improvements in battery technology and charging capability.

The new Enyaq RS features a larger 84kWh battery pack (79kWh usable), replacing the previous 77kWh unit. Alongside the capacity increase, DC fast-charging capability rises from 175kW to 185kW.

At maximum charging speed, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 26 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging vehicles in Skoda’s lineup.

Range figures depend on body style:

  • Enyaq RS Coupe: up to 534km (WLTP)
  • Enyaq RS SUV: up to 523km (WLTP)

What this means for Australia’s EV market

The arrival of the updated Enyaq RS could strengthen competition in Australia’s performance-oriented electric SUV segment.

While much of the local EV market has recently been dominated by more affordable Chinese-built models, European brands are increasingly responding with better value and improved specifications.

By lowering the price while improving charging speed and battery capacity, Skoda appears to be positioning the Enyaq RS as a more compelling option for buyers seeking a premium performance EV without stepping into six-figure territory.

It also signals the brand’s growing commitment to electrification locally, with the upcoming Skoda Elroq expected to join the lineup in the near future.

If the revised pricing resonates with buyers, the Enyaq RS could help broaden the appeal of European electric SUVs in Australia’s rapidly evolving EV landscape.
