Volkswagen Australia has locked in the full pricing for its latest electric SUVs, the ID.4 and ID.5, expanding the line-up to give buyers more choice in the mid-size EV segment.
The ID.4 range now starts from $59,990 for the Pro variant, with the performance-focused GTX priced at $69,990. The ID.5 lineup begins with the newly announced Pro variant from $62,990, while the GTX remains at $72,990.
The two models share much of their engineering and equipment, offering Australian buyers both coupe-style and traditional SUV body shapes.

Strong Sales Momentum
While still relatively new to the market, the ID.4 has shifted 333 units in 2025, ranking 34th among EV sales nationally. In July alone, 149 examples were sold, which would place it comfortably in the month’s top 15. The ID.5 has delivered 126 units so far this year.
Volkswagen Australia’s head of product, Arjun Nidigallu, said the reception shows that electric SUVs can succeed when offered with the right mix of price, performance, and aftersales support.

However, the mid-size SUV segment is becoming increasingly competitive, and with the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) now in effect, further incentives or special offers may follow to keep sales momentum strong.
