Australia's largest national Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging network, Evie Networks, is set to transform the Australian EV charging experience with its new innovative Autocharge feature. This new technology offers drivers a seamless, hassle-free charging process without the need for apps or cards.

Autocharge simplifies EV charging by initiating the session as soon as the vehicle is plugged in. The system automatically recognizes the user's car and account details, eliminating the need to manually start the charging process through an app.

Bernhard Conoplia, Evie Networks Head of Public Charging commented:

"This is a game-changer for drivers, enabling simplicity in their charging experience across the Evie network. We've prioritized Autocharge in response to feedback showing 30% of Australian drivers lack confidence in mastering EV charging technology."

Key Features of Evie Autocharge:

The rollout will begin with a select group of frequent users as beta testers before expanding to all Evie customers.

EV Drivers can check the Evie app to see if their local charger supports Autocharge or view the full list of incompatible locations here.

This launch comes at a crucial time, with EVs now representing over 8% of monthly new car sales in Australia.

Evie Networks currently operates over 255 EV fast charging locations with 630 public charging bays nationwide, all powered by 100% renewable energy. To date, the network has contributed to a reduction of 20 million kg of CO2 emissions.

New customers can register in the Evie app before July 31, 2024, to be notified when Autocharge becomes available.
