Leapmotor has confirmed the B10 Hybrid EV for Australia, adding a range extender variant to the B10 lineup that launched here as a pure electric SUV in late 2025. The Hybrid EV goes on sale from 9 June 2026, priced from $37,888 MSRP for the Style and $40,888 MSRP for the Design. Both prices exclude on-road costs. Premium paint is available from $990.
The B10 Hybrid EV uses a range extender architecture, meaning the electric motor always drives the wheels. The 1.5L four-cylinder petrol engine acts solely as a generator, recharging the battery rather than driving the wheels directly. Leapmotor describes this as an electric-first system.

Powertrain, performance and charging
The B10 Hybrid EV uses a series hybrid layout. The electric motor drives the rear wheels at all times. The 1.5L four-cylinder petrol engine does not connect to the drivetrain; it runs only to generate electricity and recharge the battery when needed. Leapmotor calls this an electric-first system.
Combined system output is 160kW and 240Nm. Leapmotor claims 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h. The 18.8kWh LFP battery provides up to 84km of pure electric range (WLTP). A 50-litre fuel tank extends total range to 900km (WLTP). Combined fuel consumption is rated at 0.9L/100km (WLTP).
Four driving modes are available: EV+, EV, Fuel, and Power+. These allow the driver to prioritise electric range, fuel economy, or performance depending on conditions.
The B10 Hybrid EV supports 6.6kW AC charging and DC fast charging up to 46kW. Leapmotor claims a 30-80% charge time of approximately 20 minutes on DC.
Dimensions and platform
The B10 Hybrid EV shares its body with the BEV model. It measures 4,515mm long, 1,885mm wide, and 1,665mm tall, with a 2,735mm wheelbase. Drive is to the rear wheels via a multi-link rear suspension setup. Chassis tuning was handled by the Stellantis Chassis Master Team.
Technology and infotainment
The cabin centres on a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen running LEAP OS 4.0 Plus, with a 3D cockpit interface and remote vehicle control via the Leapmotor app. The system supports over-the-air updates. Both variants include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and Leapmotor connected services.
