After a successful debut at the Sydney International EV Motor Show, the Jaecoo J5 is now making its way to Melbourne for Everything Electric. The compact electric SUV will take centre stage at the Omoda Jaecoo stand from November 14-16.
Premium Interior on Display
Visitors to Everything Electric will get hands-on access to the J5's well-appointed interior. The cabin features a 13.2-inch infotainment display and 8.8-inch digital driver display, giving the compact SUV a modern, tech-focused feel.

The J5 also includes leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 6-speaker audio system. These features position it as a premium option in the small electric SUV segment.
Special Pre-Order Bonus
Omoda Jaecoo is offering a special incentive for J5 pre-orders made during Everything Electric. The company will match customer deposits ranging from $500 to $2000 (including GST). Pre-order customers also receive free premium paint valued at $600.
The J5 is expected to launch in Australia in Q1 2026, with pricing yet to be confirmed. Based on UK pricing, the Australian model could start just above the $40,000 mark.
J5 Key Specifications
The J5 uses a 60.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery paired with a 155 kW front-mounted motor. This setup delivers an estimated 400 km WLTP range. DC fast charging at up to 80 kW can charge the battery from 30-80% in around 27 minutes.
The compact SUV measures approximately 4.35-4.4 m long, 1.9 m wide, and 1.6 m tall, with 180 mm of ground clearance. Boot space is 480 L, expanding to 1180 L with the rear seats folded.

Test Drives Available
While the J5 will be on static display, visitors can test drive two other models from the Omoda Jaecoo lineup. The adventurous J7 SHS and the luxurious Omoda 9 will both be available for test drives throughout the event.
Everything Electric Melbourne runs from October 14-16 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event showcases the latest electric vehicles, charging solutions, and sustainable transport options.
