Google Maps Integration Brings Smarter Navigation
New Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles will integrate Google's Places API, providing up-to-date business details, including hours of operation, contact information, ratings, and reviews. With over 100 million updates made to Google Maps daily, drivers will have the most accurate and relevant location data at their fingertips.
Initially launching in Kia models in North America, the technology will soon expand to global markets across all three brands. Hyundai sees this move as part of its broader strategy to enhance the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) experience, offering customers greater convenience and connectivity.

This means faster, more seamless access to navigation, entertainment, and voice controls without relying on a mobile device. Hyundai joins GM, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Polestar, Renault, and Volvo, which have already adopted Android Automotive as the operating system for their infotainment system.
