The ORA 5 is a battery electric vehicle (BEV). It uses a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 150kW and 260Nm. Power comes from a 58.3kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery made by SVOLT, GWM's battery division. The claimed WLTC range is up to 430km. Energy consumption is rated at 15.5kWh per 100km.
DC fast charging is supported at up to 120kW. GWM says a 30 to 80 percent charge takes around 20 minutes under optimal conditions. A 10 to 80 percent charge takes around 30 minutes. AC charging is also supported for overnight use. The ORA 5 also has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, providing up to 6kW of external power output.

Exterior Design
The ORA 5 has a closed front fascia with water drop-inspired LED headlights. The front bumper has larger ventilation openings and side air ducts. Ground clearance is 175mm. The vehicle rides on 18-inch machined alloy wheels with 225/60R18 tyres. A four-leaf clover wheel design is used across the range. At the rear, a continuous LED light bar spans the full width of the vehicle.
Five exterior colours are available. The cabin comes in two interior themes: classic black or a lighter cream finish, depending on the exterior colour chosen.
