Electric Toyota HiLux Confirmed for Late 2025 Production in Thailand

Toyota has confirmed production of an electric HiLux, with Thailand as the initial target market with potential for export to other right-hand drive markets. This news follows the unveiling of the HiLux Revo BEV concept in Australia last year.

Pras Ganesh, a high-ranking official at Toyota Motors Asia, confirmed that the electric HiLux will be built in Thailand, with exports being explored. The electric ute is expected to debut in 2026. Australian customers, who had the chance to test the HiLux Revo BEV concept, might see this model Down Under.

Testing Underway in Thailand

Toyota is currently testing a limited number of pre-production electric HiLux units in Thailand. These comprise single-cab vehicles with a shorter range.

Key Specs Still Under Wraps

Key specifications like battery size, driving range, payload capacity, and towing capability haven't been revealed yet.
