Chargefox has partnered with EVX to bring hundreds more kerbside EV chargers to its national platform, boosting access for drivers without off-street parking. The collaboration adds 120 locations featuring 240 charging plugs across New South Wales and Victoria, with more sites planned for the coming months.
Expanding Kerbside Access
EVX chargers are currently in various NSW locations including Wollongong, Sydney, Ballina and Byron Bay, plus 2 locations in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. This follows the recent addition of AGL kerbside charging sites, showing the EV charging sector's commitment to those without home charging options.
With the inclusion of EVX, there will be now 270 kerbside charging locations on the Chargefox platform and a total of 2000 charging stations (500 DC and 1500 AC) in total.

Integrating EVX's pole-mounted kerbside chargers delivers accessible everyday charging where it's needed most. Kerbside charging is key for apartment dwellers, renters, and those without home chargers.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome EVX to the Chargefox platform. Kerbside charging is a key part of our mission to make EV charging more convenient for drivers across Australia — delivering a single, secure and seamless experience, whenever and wherever they need it," said Rebecca Stenhouse, CEO of Australian Motoring Services (AMS) who operate Chargefox.
How It Works
The partnership means EVX's kerbside charging sites are now accessible to all Australian EV drivers through the Chargefox app and RFID cards. Chargefox users including private drivers, fleet customers, and subscription holders can locate, charge, and pay for sessions at EVX locations.

"We are all excited to welcome Chargefox customers to access EVX kerbside chargers as we continue to grow our network. Recent announcements of roaming partnerships across the sector demonstrates charge point operators ongoing commitment to customer experience and universal access," said Andrew Forster, CEO of EVX.
Ending App Fatigue
This agreement is another key step to ending app fatigue, where drivers must manage multiple apps and accounts for different public charging networks. For EVX, joining the Chargefox network exposes their chargers to a vast network of EV drivers, driving higher utilisation and encouraging further investment in new infrastructure.

Impact on the Australian Market
This partnership addresses a critical gap in Australia's EV infrastructure. With apartment living increasingly common in major cities, kerbside charging provides an essential solution for the estimated 30-40% of Australians who don't have access to off-street parking. The collaboration between charging providers demonstrates the industry's maturity and focus on customer experience over competition. By consolidating access through platforms like Chargefox, Australia is moving closer to the seamless charging experience that will be necessary to support the country's growing EV fleet.

The addition of EVX chargers expands the diversity of charging options available on Chargefox, the platform that offers more EV chargers across Australia than any other. 120 EVX locations featuring 240 plugs are available on the Chargefox app now, with a further 28 locations in Sydney to be added soon.
