Key Points
- Prices drop across the range, starting from $116,700 for the Rear Motor.
- New 800V architecture enables DC charging up to 350kW, with 10-80% in as little as 22 minutes.
- The Plus pack is now standard on all variants, previously a $9,000 option.
Polestar has confirmed pricing and specifications for the updated Polestar 3 ahead of its Australian arrival in mid-2026. The medium electric SUV gets a new 800V electrical architecture, more power across all variants, and a lower starting price.

What Has Changed?
The biggest update is the switch to 800V electrical architecture. This allows DC charging at up to 350kW, cutting the 10-80% charge time to as little as 22 minutes. That is more than 25% faster than before.
All three variants get a newly developed permanent magnet synchronous rear motor. The front motor now disconnects automatically when not needed, which helps with efficiency during everyday driving.
The NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin processor replaces the previous Xavier unit, increasing processing power from 30 to 254 trillion operations per second. Existing Polestar 3 owners will receive this as a free hardware retrofit.
