CUPRA Australia has unveiled its latest electric SUV, the Tavascan. This sleek and stylish SUV will join the Cupra Born as the second model in the Cupra electric lineup. Pricing is not yet finalised but is expecyed to be below $70,000. Ben Wilks, Cupra Managing Director, advised “Pricing is due to be finalised soon. Expect the 210kW RWD ‘Endurance’ grade to be priced slightly above the top-spec Formentor VZx ($65,790 plus on road costs).
The Tavascan boasts a sleek and athletic exterior, featuring signature CUPRA styling elements that give it a distinct look. Inside, the cabin is spacious and luxurious, with premium materials and a modern design. Multimedia technology features include a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, and a Sennheiser premium sound system.

Cupra Tavascan Key Specifications
The Cupra Tavascan is a medium SUV which has length of 4644 mm, a height of 1597 mm and a width of 1861 mm. It is slightly shorter than a Tesla Model Y but longer than a BYD Atto 3.
In terms of performance, the Tavascan offers two grades: the Endurance and the VZ, both share a 77kWh battery, The Endurance is designed for those who prioritise range and efficiency, providing a strong 534km on the WLTP testing cycle. The VZ, on the other hand, is geared towards drivers seeking enhanced performance and features. It offers a slightly shorter range of 499km due to its more powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

Cupra Tavascan Features
The Tavascan comes standard with a full suite of safety features, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. This ensures a safe and confident driving experience for all occupants.
For those looking to add even more luxury and convenience to their Tavascan, the Endurance grade offers an optional Interior Package. This package includes premium features such as a 360-degree camera, power seats, and a captivating Dark Night interior with suede-like microfibre seat trim and ambient lighting. The VZ grade also offers an optional Extreme Package, which adds Cup Racing bucket seats, performance tires, and a fixed sunroof for an even more exhilarating driving experience.
Pricing will be finalised closer to launch, with deliveries scheduled for December 2024.
