Smart Australia has launched an introductory offer for the all-new, all-electric Smart #5, giving the first 60 eligible retail customers nationwide a genuine smart-branded wall box charger at no extra cost.
The offer is designed to get early adopters of the brand's new premium mid-size SUV set up for home charging from day one, with the hardware alone worth $1,990.

The headline saving is $1,990, the recommended retail value of the smart 7.4 kW Wi-Fi-enabled wall box, supplied free with each qualifying Smart #5.
It is worth noting that this covers the part only. Installation is not included, so you will still need to arrange a suitably qualified and licensed electrician and cover all associated costs, including any switchboard or electrical upgrades required at your property. Typical home wall box installation in Australia runs from a few hundred dollars to well over $1,000 depending on your property and distance from the switchboard, so budget for that separately.
The wall box cannot be exchanged for cash, a vehicle discount, or any other credit, so the full $1,990 benefit only applies if you were planning to install a home charger anyway.
How to qualify
To be eligible, you must:
- Place an order for a new Smart #5 between 18 September 2026 and 31 December 2026
- Take delivery of the vehicle on or before 31 December 2026
- Be among the first 60 qualifying retail orders nationwide
The wall box is only provided once the qualifying Smart #5 has been delivered to the end customer. Cancelled orders, or vehicles not delivered to the end customer, do not qualify.
Key dates
The program commenced 1 August 2026, with qualifying orders accepted from 18 September 2026. The offer ends once 60 eligible Smart #5 vehicles have been ordered, or on 31 December 2026, whichever occurs first.

Available to the first 60 eligible retail customers who order a new Smart #5 between 18 September and 31 December 2026 and take delivery by 31 December 2026.
