What the offer is
BYD Australia is offering $4,000 cashback on the Sealion 7 Premium and Sealion 7 Performance electric SUVs. The offer applies to orders placed between 1 October and 21 December 2026, with delivery by 31 December 2026.
The Sealion 7 is not included in BYD's 0.99% finance offer. Instead, novated lease customers can take a 6% discount on the base vehicle list price, processed through an approved fleet management organisation. That offer allows delivery up to 31 January 2027.
How much you save
The cashback is $4,000 including GST. Against list prices before on-road costs, it works out as follows.
- Sealion 7 Premium: $54,990 list, $50,990 after cashback
- Sealion 7 Performance: $63,990 list, $59,990 after cashback
For comparison, a 6% novated lease discount on the base list price is worth roughly $3,300 on the Premium and $3,840 on the Performance. The $4,000 cashback is larger on paper, but novated lease buyers should compare both options with their provider.
What you get
Both variants use an 82.6kWh Blade battery. The Premium is rear-wheel drive with 230kW and a claimed 482km WLTP range. The Performance is all-wheel drive with 390kW, a claimed 456km WLTP range and 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds.
The Sealion 7 has a five-star ANCAP safety rating. BYD covers it with a six year or 150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight year or 160,000km traction battery warranty.
The fine print
- Fleet customers, demonstrator vehicles and service loan vehicles are excluded.
- Transactions involving other promotional offers or discounts are excluded, so the cashback cannot be combined with the 6% novated lease discount.
- If an order cannot be delivered by 31 December 2026, BYD Australia will review each case and may approve an extension.
- BYD's terms do not state when the cashback is paid. Confirm timing and the claim process with your dealer.
