Jaecoo J5 EV

Woolworths has launched a Back to School competition that gives customers the chance to win one of four Jaecoo J5 electric SUVs. The competition runs from 7 January 2026 to 10 February 2026. One vehicle will be given away each week.

The partnership between Woolworths and Jaecoo brings together Australia's largest supermarket chain with an emerging electric vehicle brand. Families shopping for school supplies can enter simply by purchasing participating products and scanning their Everyday Rewards card.

How to Enter

Entry requirements are straightforward. Customers need to spend $20 or more on participating Back to School brand products in a single transaction. The Everyday Rewards card must be scanned at checkout to register the entry.

The competition period spans five weeks from 7 January 2026 to 10 February 2026. Four weekly draws will be held, with one Jaecoo J5 EV awarded in each draw. This means families have multiple chances to win throughout the Back to School shopping period.

Participating Back to School brands include stationery, lunch boxes, drink bottles, and other school essentials. Each qualifying purchase generates one entry into the weekly draw.

About the Jaecoo J5 EV

The Jaecoo J5 EV is an all-electric SUV designed for Australian families. It offers 402 kilometers of range on a single charge. This range covers most daily driving needs without requiring frequent charging stops.

Charging speed is a key feature. The J5 EV supports DC fast charging that takes the battery from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes. This makes it practical for longer trips where a quick charge can extend the journey.

Inside, the vehicle features a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. This means drivers can connect their phones without cables for navigation, music, and calls.

The interior uses pet-friendly synthetic leather upholstery. Families with dogs or cats will appreciate the durability and easy cleaning. The material resists scratches and stains better than traditional leather.

Safety features include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and forward collision warning. These systems help prevent accidents and reduce driver fatigue on long trips.

More Ways to Win at Woolworths

The Jaecoo J5 EV giveaway is one of several competitions running at Woolworths this summer. The Summer Cleaning promotion offers a year's worth of groceries or $100 gift cards. The Be School Ready competition gives away $100 Woolworths gift cards.

The Summer of Drinks campaign shares $100,000 worth of gift cards among winners. Everyday Rewards members can also earn 10x points through the Boost Your Budget promotion. These offers run concurrently with the Back to School competition.

What the Experts Say

Rhonda Ma, Category Manager at Woolworths, explained the thinking behind the partnership. She noted that Back to School shopping is a significant expense for families. The competition aims to reward customers during this busy period while introducing them to electric vehicle technology.

Roy Munoz, Chief Commercial Officer at OMODA JAECOO, highlighted the opportunity to showcase the J5 EV to Australian families. He emphasized that the vehicle's practical features and competitive pricing make it an accessible entry point into electric vehicle ownership.

The partnership represents a strategic move for both brands. Woolworths gains a premium prize that generates customer interest. Jaecoo receives exposure to millions of shoppers who may not have considered an electric vehicle before.

Families preparing for the school year now have an additional incentive to shop at Woolworths. The combination of necessary purchases and the chance to win a vehicle worth tens of thousands of dollars creates a compelling offer. With four vehicles up for grabs over four weeks, the odds are better than typical single-prize competitions.
