The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is now on sale in Australia. It gets a longer electric range, new features, and a refreshed look. Prices have risen by up to $3000 compared to the outgoing model.
The range starts at $58,990 plus on-road costs for the ES, up $1700. The top-spec Exceed Tourer is $74,490 plus on-roads, up $2700.
How Does It Compare on Price?
The entry ES sits close in price to the top-spec BYD Sealion 6 at $56,990, which is Australia's best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV. The Outlander PHEV still undercuts the Mazda CX-60 P50e (from $63,790) and the Skoda Kodiaq PHEV (from $63,490).
In recent months, Mitsubishi Australia offered significant discounts on the outgoing model, including drive-away deals and cash bonuses of up to $10,000, to clear old stock.

Bigger Battery, More Range
The new 22.7kWh battery is up from 20kWh. Mitsubishi claims an electric-only range of 86km under WLTP testing, or 103km under the more lenient NEDC standard. The previous model managed 84km NEDC.
Combined power from the 2.4-litre petrol engine and dual electric motors rises from 185kW to 221kW. Claimed fuel consumption drops from 1.5L/100km to 1.2L/100km in NEDC testing.
