Power and Range

The iX3 50 xDrive uses dual electric motors producing 345kW and 645Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h.

The 108.7kWh battery uses cylindrical cells and 800-volt architecture. BMW claims up to 805km of WLTP range. On the standard 20-inch Style 1048 M wheels with the M Sport pack, the overseas configurator shows 793km. Fitting the no-cost 20-inch Style 1047 M wheels lifts that to 802km. The optional 22-inch wheels drop range to 737km.

This makes the iX3 Australia's longest-range electric car until the Volvo EX60 arrives in 2027. Note that the 805km figure comes from European base-model testing without the M Sport package.

Interior and Technology

The cabin features BMW Panoramic Vision, a 43.3-inch (110cm) projection that spans the full width of the dashboard from A-pillar to A-pillar. It displays key vehicle information on a nano-coated black printed surface. There is also a 17.9-inch touchscreen, a 3D head-up display, and a Harman Kardon audio system.

The electronics architecture uses four high-performance computers, called "superbrains", covering driving dynamics, automated driving, infotainment, and comfort functions. BMW calls the drivetrain and dynamics management system the "Heart of Joy", which manages dynamic performance, precision and efficiency.
