Australia’s largest EV fast-charging network, Evie Networks has announced a new partnership with Finnish charging technology company Kempower. This marks the first time Evie has moved beyond its long-standing supplier Tritium, signaling a new phase in its rapid growth across the country.

The partnership is already in motion, with the first Kempower chargers installed in Ulladulla, NSW. Next in line are Tamworth and Armidale, reinforcing Evie’s commitment to strengthening regional charging infrastructure. The new sites will each feature four charging bays capable of delivering up to 300kW, in line with the NSW state government’s grant requirements. Kempower’s cutting-edge satellite system, equipped with spring-assisted cable management and an intuitive touchscreen interface, aims to offer drivers a seamless charging experience.

A Significant Shift for Evie Networks
Evie Networks, which has deployed 296 charging bays and over 800 fast chargers nationwide, has exclusively relied on Tritium units—until now. The change comes after Tritium’s collapse last year and subsequent acquisition by India’s Exicom. While Evie continues to work with the restructured “Tritium 2.0,” the company has opted to diversify its supplier base to support its ambitious expansion plans.

“It is only right for us to expand our circle of trusted equipment suppliers to meet our ever-growing network ambitions, both geographically and in site count,” said Evie Networks CEO Chris Mills. “Kempower has clearly earned its place within that circle of trust, and we look forward to an ongoing, expansive, and fruitful relationship with them as we continue to grow Australia’s largest network of publicly available fast and ultra-fast chargers.”

A Boost for Regional EV Infrastructure
The move is particularly significant for regional Australia, where charging infrastructure has lagged behind urban centers. With its latest installations, Evie Networks is addressing this gap, ensuring EV drivers have greater access to reliable, high-speed charging on long-distance routes.

“This partnership with Kempower allows us to further our mission of providing reliable and fast EV charging infrastructure to Australians, particularly in regional areas where charging options have historically been limited,” Mills emphasized. “We’re thrilled to be working with Kempower to bring cutting-edge, high-speed charging to more locations as part of our broader network expansion.”

Looking Ahead
Evie Networks is on track to continue its aggressive rollout, adding around 300 new chargers annually. With a growing mix of trusted suppliers and state-of-the-art technology, the company is positioning itself as a leader in Australia’s EV revolution. For drivers, that means more charging options, better coverage, and faster, more efficient road trips as the country transitions to an electric future.
