⚡ BEV share edges to a fresh high – 27,309 BEVs sold, representing a 25.7% market share. That’s up slightly from August’s 25.6% and the highest BEV share in the dataset. BEV sales are up 126.1% year-on-year.
🔌 PHEVs cool after the EOFY spike – 10,072 plug-in hybrids sold, down 4.9% month-on-month, but still up 124.3% year-on-year. Total electrified sales (BEV + PHEV + hybrid) reached about 51.9% of the market, with hybrids at 16.8% and PHEVs at 9.5%.
📉 Market volume steady, mix shifting fast – Total sales were 106,415, up 0.6% month-on-month. Petrol fell 36.3% year-on-year, diesel fell 18.4% year-on-year, while BEV and PHEV growth absorbed much of the ICE decline. The shift is happening within a stable-sized market rather than during a broad slowdown.
