A spokesperson for the company told me that :

"Safe and effective vehicle-to-grid solutions are at the forefront of what we do. In an industry that is driven by rapidly evolving smart technology, changes are inevitable".
"During recent weeks there have been industry safety regulations which have been updated – namely AS/NZS 4777".
"V2Grid Australia is in the process of making minor adjustments to its software and hardware to accommodate this update".

V2Grid Australia anticipates its pilot site, situated on Hutt Street in the Adelaide CBD - South Australia, will be live by late-October 2024.

The easily accessible Hutt Street site is currently being developed in anticipation of the necessary hardware being installed during coming weeks.

Co-Founder Matthew Downie said V2Grid Australia will offer a grassroots solution to a larger economic and environmental problem by using smart charging technology.

"This technology not only powers EVs but also serves as backup storage for the electrical grid, addressing a looming environmental and economic issue".
"Whether it’s to provide electricity to support a household in a blackout, an EV owner looking to give back to the grid for financial return or simply to lessen the impact of the rising cost of living, this technology has the power to do it all."
"Our CBD site is almost as easy as tap and go – it’s a park, plug-in and get paid model that has never been seen before".

I would've loved to test it for myself but I live in Sydney 15 hours drive away.

Readers who try it out the V2Grid Australia pilot site with their EV are encouraged to contact me to share their experience.
