A New Chapter: EVOS Heads to Japan
From the end of Q2 2025, EVOS chargers will be available in Japan, with FKK taking charge of distribution. The collaboration isn’t just about Japan, it positions EVOS to tap into wider Asian markets, including South-East Asia and India, thanks to Japan’s well-established shipping routes and trade agreements.

Why Japan?
EVOS CEO and co-founder Marcelo Salgado sees Japan as a logical step for expansion, citing its robust infrastructure and high-growth potential in the EV sector.
“This agreement ensures that we can create chargers tailored to the Japanese market, which has unique EV charging needs. FKK is the ideal partner due to its 70-year track record of manufacturing high-quality, advanced products. Our chargers produced in Japan will reflect the same level of precision and innovation,” Salgado stated.
Tackling Japan’s Unique EV Landscape
Japan presents a unique challenge for EV adoption—many residents lease public parking spaces, making home charging setups difficult. EVOS CTO and co-founder Chris Crossman believes this partnership offers an opportunity to test new solutions in a complex environment.

“For nations to meet their emissions targets, zero-emissions vehicles are a must. Japan’s situation offers a glimpse into how charging infrastructure can evolve in dense urban environments. Our chargers are built to withstand extreme weather, provide security, and help users manage costs by intelligently charging during off-peak hours,” Crossman explained.
With EV sales on the rise in Japan, Crossman expects EVOS chargers to become an essential part of the country’s growing charging network.
